Was ist Trunkenheit? Einführung in die Pharmakologie und Symptomatologie des Rausches
Zusammenfassung:
Die etablierte Alkoholforschung – und damit die entsprechend ausgebildeten Praktiker und Entscheider – weiß wenig über die kulturell bzw. historisch geprägte Seite der Trunkenheit. Es herrscht ein biologischer Reduktionismus. Mindestens ebensowenig aber weiß umgekehrt die geistes- und sozialwissenschaftliche Forschung über die somatische Seite dieses Phänomens. Dem soll hier Abhilfe geschaffen werden, wobei auch die uralte Frage nach dem Verhältnis von Geist und Körper ventiliert wird.

The established alcohol research – and the accordingly trained practitioners and decision-makers – knows little about the cultural and thus historical side of drunkenness, a biological reductionism prevails. And conversely, the humanities and social sciences know possibly even less about the ‘hard’ physiological side of this phenomenon. The aim here is to remedy this narrow-mindedness and in this connection discussing the relationship between mind and body.
