Der tägliche Spagat: Wie Anforderungen und Ressourcen die Gesundheit von pädagogischen Fachkräften beeinflussen

Pädagogische Fachkräfte in Kindertageseinrichtungen zeigen überdurchschnittlich viele Arbeitsunfähigkeitstage. Dies weist auf eine hohe gesundheitliche Beanspruchung hin. Angelehnt an das Job Demands-Resources Modell wird überprüft, welche Arbeitsanforderungen und Arbeitsressourcen die Gesundheit pädagogischer Fachkräfte beeinflussen. Die erhobenen Daten umfassen Fragebögen, physiologische Maße (Haarcortisol) und physikalische Maße (Schallpegel und CO2-Gehalt). Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass die Gesundheit der pädagogischen Fachkräfte belastet ist. Quantitative Belastungen stehen in einem negativen, Information und Mitsprache, betriebliche Leistungen und ein offenes Gruppenorganisationskonzept stehen in einem positiven Zusammenhang zur Gesundheit. Die Schallpegel sind in allen Kitas deutlich erhöht. Die Ergebnisse weisen einen dringenden Handlungsbedarf auf, hierbei ist ein angemessener Personalschlüssel besonders wichtig, aber auch Weiterbildungen, Schallschutzmaßnahmen und eine offene und partizipative Kommunikation.

Abstract:
Early childhood teachers in day care centres are subject to very high job strain, with an above-average number of days of inability to work in this occupational field. Based on the Job Demands-Resources Model, this article examines which work demands and work resources influence the health of early childhood teachers. The data collected includes questionnaires, physiological measures (hair cortisol) and physical measures (sound level and CO2 content of the air at the workplace). The results show that the health of early childhood teachers is under strain. Quantitative stress in particular has a negative impact. Work resources such as participation and information as well as company benefits and an open group organization concept can have a positive effect on health. The noise levels are too high in all day care centres. The results indicate an urgent need for action, with an appropriate staffing ratio being particularly important, as well as supervision and training, soundproofing measures and open and participatory communication.
