Einbeziehung des sozialen Umfeldes in die medizinisch-orthopädische Rehabilitation – Konzeptuelle Chancen und ihre bisherige Umsetzung

Zusammenfassung. Das soziale Umfeld ist bei chronisch Kranken von besonderer Bedeutung und sollte deshalb bei rehabilitativen Maßnahmen berücksichtigt und in die Behandlung einbezogen werden. Insbesondere ambulante rehabilitative Angebote bieten hier aufgrund der Wohnortnähe und des Verbleibs der Patienten in ihrem gewohnten Umfeld prinzipiell günstige Voraussetzungen. In der vorliegenden Studie wurde bei über 1100 Patienten in sechs Rehabilitationseinrichtungen untersucht, inwieweit ein solcher Einbezug des sozialen Umfeldes gegenwärtig stattfindet, vergleichend werden dabei drei unterschiedliche ambulante Versorgungsangebote einem stationär rehabilitativen Angebot gegenübergestellt. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass das soziale Umfeld als Thema in der rehabilitativen Behandlung bei einer Mehrheit von Patienten zwar berücksichtigt wird, eine Einbeziehung im Sinne von Kontaktaufnahmen mit entsprechend relevanten Personen aber nur sehr selten stattfindet. Dies gilt gleichermaßen für alle rehabilitativen Angebotsformen.

Inclusion of social environment in medical orthopedic rehabilitation – conceptual chances and present realization

Abstract. Social environment is of important meaning for patients with chronic diseases, therefore it should be considered in rehabilitation and, if possible, be included in the treatment. In particular especially outpatient-rehabilitation offer convenient conditions because of local treatment and usual sucrounding of patients. More than 1100 patients in six rehabilitation institutions were examined in the preseilt study. Primary question was to analyse the degree of inclusion of the social environment in different types of outpatient and in-patient-rehabilitation. Results show consideration of aspects of the social environment during the treatment by majority of patients. However contact between rehabilitation institutions and important persolls of the social environment of patients are very rare. This was found in in-patient-treatment as weIl as in outpatient-rehabilitation.
