Issue 3/4 Vol. 34 1992 |
The authors present their work with several groups of displaced persons accommodated in village households of the Kutina district.
During seven months of continuous work, certain phases in adaptation to exile were noticed, starting with a vehement emotional reaction to the loss of home and to the severe circumstances that preceded it, and ending with a successful adaptation to the life in the new surroundings and the abandonment of the temporary residence at the right moment, or the escape from the exile into the uncertain and unstable circumstances of their native region.
