Issue 3/4 Vol. 34 1992 |
The war reality of 1991-1992 represents one of the constantly present topics in the groups of psychotic patients presented in this paper. The authors present some excerpts from the group process which had the war as its subject. Dynamics of the dialogues and some actions were so closely connected with the war situation that the members of group A called themselves the war group. The external reality reflected in the dynamics of the group cohesion and interactions with the internal contents of psychotic patients. The authors observed that work in the therapeutic group in that context contributed to group cohesion, which was experienced by the patients as a protection they greatly needed.
Keywords: psychiatry in war, war, psychotic patients
